Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Kiernan Moore, has recently released his 2023 Annual Report: Balancing Act: An All of Society Approach to Substance Use and Harms.
"By working together as a unified society, to advocate for health, social, and economic policies at all levels, Ontario can build stronger communities so that people can enjoy longer and healthier lives."
The report speaks to the importance of a harm reduction approach to address the current drug/opioid toxicity crisis, that includes Consumption and Treatment Services Sites, Prescribed Safer Supply, and Decriminalization.
