The Municipality of St. Charles supports reinstating the repealed section of the Municipal Act, which allowed for a municipality to retain surplus proceeds from tax sales within their jurisdiction.

The Township of Emo wants the Province to rescind the Ontario Black Ash Recovery Strategy for the Rainy River District and Northwestern Ontario, seek further understanding of the health of the Black Ash in these areas, and complete a provincial study regarding the socio-economic impact on that part of Northwestern Ontario in consultation with stakeholders before any policies are passed and enacted
