🇨🇦🎪 Canada Day Programming

  • Canada Day On the Move at Lampman Lane Park, 10am-1pm

  • Canada Day activities, food trucks and entertainment at Centennial Park, 12-10pm

  • Canada Day On the Move at Painswick Park, 3-6pm

  • Fireworks Show at Centennial Park 10pm

  • Barrie Transit will run an extended Sunday service schedule with the last buses leaving the downtown Transit Terminal after the fireworks display (approximately 10:30pm)

  • Individuals, organizations and businesses are invited to submit proposals for activities and events to help celebrate Culture Days across Barrie this fall (September 19 - October 12) - honorariums of up to $800 are available per activity

  • Culture Days programs invite the public to get hands-on and behind-the-scenes to highlight the importance of arts and culture in our communities

  • Applications will be accepted until Monday, July 14

🏷️🍁 Procurement and Advocacy for Trade Agreement Exemptions

  • Supporting the Township of Mulmur's April 2 resolution to commit to considering Canadian suppliers for goods and services when it is feasible and fiscally responsible to do so for procurements under trade agreement thresholds, and to continuing to utilize cooperative purchasing groups to explore cost-saving measures and Canadian suppliers when it is feasible and fiscally responsible to do so, and calling upon the Federal and Provincial governments to enact legislative changes to exempt municipalities from trade agreement restrictions while tariffs are imposed, allowing them to give preference to Canadian suppliers for goods, services and infrastructure projects
