Agenda was finally published late Monday (contrary to City's own Procedural Bylaw) - particularly problematic, as there are three Public Meetings that the public was not informed of on time

Zoning Amendment
Seeking to rezone from Agricultural (A), Environmental Protection (EP) and Rural Residential (RR) in former Town of Innisfil to Neighbourhood Residential (R5), Neighbourhood Residential Multiple (RM3), Neighbourhood Residential Multiple wiwth Special Provisions (RM3 SP-XX), Neighbourhood Mixed Use with Special Provisions (NMU SP-XX), Environmental Protection (EP) and Open Space (OS)
Special Provisions, RM3 SP-XX:
decrease minimum parking ratio from 1.5 to 1.2 parking spaces per unit
adjust front yard location of Block 76 to Terry Fox Drive, of Block 77 to Street 'C', of Block 78 to dual frontage on Terry Fox Drive and Prince William Way (currently the shortest lot line abutting a street)
Special Provisions, NMU SP-XXX:
allow front yard area to not be seamlessly paved, and instead provide landscaping elements (currently should be fully paved and seamlessly connected to sidewalk)
Draft Plan of Subdivision
Seeking to develop 1,187 residential units, including 52 single detached homes, 185 townhouses, 950 apartment units, and associated areas for Stormwater Management, Environmental protection and Open Space (parks)

The MZO request was not approved, with the Minister believing the matters raised would be better resolved through the municipal planning process, and an MZO would not get shovels in the ground faster

Recommendation: Have staff investigate the most efficient and cost-effective process to re-establish Nine Mile Portage signage, which has been retired by the Ontario Heritage Trust Provincial Plaque Program, and report back to Heritage Barrie Committee, whether or not to apply to the Ontario Heritage Trust for a replacement, or proceed with other options including but not limited to internal City of Barrie departmental options
