All EBO members are invited to join us (in person or virtually) at our 2022-23 Annual Members Meeting on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at 2pm. This will be held in the Angus Ross Room at the Barrie Public Library’s Downtown Branch, 60 Worsley Street – the virtual meeting link will be provided closer to the date.
Our Annual Members Meeting is an opportunity to preview of our annual report, get highlights from the previous year, and some of our plans for the year ahead. Voting members will also approve the Annual Financial Statements, and elect our Board of Directors.

EBO Board Recruitment
Two of our five Board members’ terms are coming to an end this year, and we’re currently recruiting to fill those vacancies! EBO board terms are two years, with directors expected to attend monthly meetings (alternating between Board and Members meetings), and participate in at least one of our campaigns or community partnerships.
We are searching for people who are
passionate about creating an equitable, empowered and engaged community
"team players” who uphold our mission, mandate, values and founding principles
can participate actively, and make a two-year commitment to the team
For the coming term, we are especially welcoming candidates with experience in non-profit governance (especially ONCA), fundraising, and social media and other public-facing communications – but not exclusively, all skills and talents are welcome! We strive to reflect diverse lived experiences, demographics, and points of view.
