Because we figured some people might be taking off early for the long weekend, we decided to bump our normal meeting a day earlier. New details are:

New Policy Re: Elections Committee Access:
In order to stay true to our "Non Partisan" policy, and make sure that no candidate is given (or appears to be given) a "leg up", it was decided that the Elections Committee Meetings will now be open to committee members only.
Any member of Engage Barrie may become an Elections Committee member, EXCEPT:
Anyone running (or intending to run) as a candidate in this year's municipal election
Any family member or other close relation of a candidate
Any member of a candidate's campaign team
In order to be open and transparent, any member of the Elections Committee will now have an "Elections Committee" badge in the members area – this badge grants members access to the private Elections Committee Forum, and no others may access that area of the site.
All members who have attended Elections Committee meetings in the past have been given that badge already – if you would like to become a committee member, please email admin@engagebarrie.org and we'll set you up. If your situation changes, and you find yourself in one of the three restricted categories above, it is your responsibility to notify us right away – anyone acting in bad faith will be suspended for breaching our non-partisan policy.
If you already have your "Elections Committee" badge, but cannot access the agenda, meeting notes, or other documents in the drive, we'll need to add your Google account email to the Drive – again, please email admin@engagebarrie.org and we'll sort it out as soon as we're able.
